Can I Be My Own Registered Agent?

It is possible to be your own registered agent. You could also choose to elect a member of your LLC, or even a friend you trust, as long as the person meets these requirements:

  • is 18 years or older
  • has a physical address in the state where business is conducted
  • is available (in person) during normal business hours

Another option would be to hire a professional registered agent service. One of the disadvantages is that it is more expensive than acting as your own.

However, using a registered agent service helps you avoid any fees or further legal trouble caused by missing or misplacing an important document or notice. This can actually save you more time and money in the long run.

Filing is included in all of our annual plans; You can choose the one that's right for your business's size, scope, and needs. You can also add additional services and protection for very low prices. Bear in mind that, regardless of what business formation service you use, you will have to pay a filing fee to your state. Those fees are different in all 50 states. What Is The Jumpstart Refund Policy?

Will The Bank Be a US bank? If So Which One?

What Are The Bank Account Requirements?

You’ll need a U.S. company with a federal EIN, your company’s articles of incorporation, and a picture of your government ID (e.g. a passport or driver’s license). We'll file the company and get you an EIN and articles of incorporation. We just need a picture of your passport.

Is There a Minimum Payment When Opening This Bank Account?

Mercury accounts are free. They don’t have minimum balances, account opening fees, or monthly fees. The only things that cost money are wire transfers, which are $5 domestically and $35 internationally.

Is There a Monthly Maintenance Fee For Mercury Bank?

No, they don’t have minimum balances, account opening fees, or monthly fees.

Can The Bank Account Be Opened Online?

We'll open the account on your behalf and share your account details with you. You can manage your entire banking experience online. No visit required.

Will The Bank Issue a Credit Card for Free? Or Are There Additional Fees?

The bank does not offer a credit card service. Once you have a bank account you should be able to apply for credit cards at any of the major service providers (Chase, Discover, Amex, etc). Also, the bank does issue a debit card for your usage and we will ship the debit card to you. We ship internationally.
